EVA Airways has reached an agreement with Intrepid Aviation for the lease of
two A330-300 planes.
The Taipei-based carrier is due to receive delivery of the aircraft sometime
in late-2014.
The privately held Intrepid Aviation carries a portfolio of predominantly
wide-body aircraft such as the 787, 777 and A330.
Having already placed A321-200 aircraft with the airline, Intrepid’s CCO,
Colin Bole, commented: “We are delighted to continue our business
partnership with EVA Air and look forward to growing our customer base
further into Asia.
“The A330 continues to prove to be an economically efficient aircraft and is
ideal for the likes of EVA.”
The Taiwanese airline hasn’t disclosed where in its network it plans to
utilise the additional aircraft, but currently uses the model on its Japanese
routes to Fukuoka, Tokyo Haneda and Sapporo Chitose, as well as to Shanghai
in China and South Korea’s Seoul Incheon.
