首度體驗高張力季後賽的投手Logan Webb，今（15日）主投7局僅失1分，還飆出7次三振
，可惜舊金山巨人最後以1比2落敗，提前結束賽季。但當家鐵捕Buster Posey認為，他已
經證明自己是球隊基石。
Webb堪稱是巨人軍團本季最大驚奇，過去2年例行賽防禦率都破5的他，今年開季同樣陷入
不穩定狀況，但隨著賽季進行，Webb逐漸兌現球團的期待，頗有接班未來王牌的氣勢。尤
其身為季後賽菜鳥的他，生涯初登板主投7.2局，投出10三振無四死球，只被擊出5安打，
沒有丟掉任何分數。
此役面對輸球即淘汰的壓力，Webb不僅成功頂住，更繳出7局僅失1分好投，以近乎完美表
現，壓制衛冕軍的打線。巨人當家鐵捕Posey大讚，「他已經證明了自己是球隊的基石，
而且他也很享受成為那樣的人。」巨人教頭Gabe Kapler則表示：「每局你都會問自己，
Logan Webb是能解決接下來3個出局數的最好選擇嗎？」
「但每當我們選擇派他上場，也不斷證明我們的決定是對的。」Kapler說。總計Webb投了
14.2局，狂飆17次三振，成為隊史繼Madison Bumgarner、Christy Mathewson、Ryan
Vogelsong及Jack Sanford等投手後，在單一系列賽多次投滿7局，且失分少於1分。「我
從中學習到很多，有球迷的支持感覺很棒。」Webb表示。
