所以上來請教各位英文老師
題目如下:
Many people got injured in the area （which ）the earthquake hit.
為什麼這題是用which 而不是用where 呢？
還請各位前輩指教

關代which代替先行詞area作為關係子句中hit的受詞，若使用關係副詞where，則及物動詞hit欠缺受詞，會讓關係子句結構不完整。

in which=where

是hit the area , 不是 hit in the area沒有介系詞不需用where
