關於在地化語言投票網頁
有玩家在社區反饋說，看到《極樂迪斯科》在地化語言投票網頁上，原本的「繁體中文」
選項消失了。他們擔憂地詢問，《極樂迪斯科》是不是取消了繁體中文版的計劃。
其實，並不！
撤下「繁體中文」選項，是因為繁體中文版已經「確定製作」了，故不再列入「徵詢製作
」的語言名單裡。
早在去年簡體中文尚未完成之際，我們已在籌備繁體中文版的在地化工程。雖然當時時機
尚未成熟，但是準備工作已經啟動了。
對於繁體中文版的在地化品質，也請大家保持期待。同為中文，簡體和繁體中文在習慣用
語上存在些許差異，所以我們雖並不會依賴於完全機械的轉化來製作繁體中文版。
在地化工程含有「再創作」的要素，所以我們會依托簡體中文版的基礎，斟酌習慣用語的
差異，疑難處對照英文版和原作核心內容做參考。相信通過這樣的工作步驟，我們能逐步
為大家帶來有著品質保證的繁體中文版。
此外，我們亦聯繫到了臺灣一位有資深文字工作經驗的作家老師負責繁中工作。這位老師
在文學和哲學方面都很有造詣，跨學科知識也十分豐厚，所以他會和《極樂迪斯科》碰撞
出什麼火花，便請大家拭目以待吧！
Hi all,
Regarding the localization voting for Traditional Chinese language
Players have been reporting that the Traditional Chinese language option was r
emoved from the voting pool and speculating if the Traditional Chinese localiz
ation for Disco Elysium has been cancelled...
Yet the truth is the opposite!
The reason we removed Traditional Chinese from the voting pool is that we have
already started working on it so further voting from our community was no lon
ger required.
The preparation work for the Traditional Chinese localization had started even
before the launch of the Simplified Chinese language, while certain aspects a
re still in progress, rest assured that the work has begun.
We know that our players have concerns about the quality of the Traditional Ch
inese localization, but don't give up hope just yet. We know that although bot
h Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese belong to Chinese language, there
are some differences in regards of how to use them properly and correctly. Th
erefore, the work of converting one to another will not rely on a completely m
echanical conversion. "Re-creation" process is also important in localization.
From the basis of Simplified Chinese, through the re-creation process of loca
lization and finally cross-referencing from both the English version and devel
oper commentaries, step by step we are confident we will produce localization
work of guaranteed quality.
One more thing, we have incorporated a senior literary author to work on the l
ocalization for the Traditional Chinese language of Disco Elysium, who is not
only adept in the literature and philosophy department, but also has a deep re
serve of interdisciplinary knowledge. So stay tuned to find out the sparks he
may strike off with Disco Elysium!
