Not so long ago, communication took time. If we called someone on the phone,
they might not be home, and we would have to leave a voicemail message that
might not be picked up for hours or days. Instead of instant email, we had to
use a fax - if you still remember these - or the even slower way of postal
mail. Today we can reach someone quickly, and in some cases instantly. Even so,
truly "reaching" someone still takes time. Don't mistake the rapid progression
of communication for a clear understanding of who that person really is. That
will take some time.
