Sarri's matchday squad is striker Tammy Abraham. Abraham is a loan target
for Aston Villa and a number of other Championship clubs, but the
20-year-old is yet to be convinced that a step down from the Premier
League represents his best move.
While Chelsea believe it would be best for Abraham to go out and get
first-team experience, the player has so far not shown any interest in the
options presented to him abroad. Villa are pushing hard to try to sign
Abraham, but may be kept waiting until the end of August to see whether
the player and Chelsea can be convinced.
Alvaro Morata will be Sarri's first choice striker, with Olivier Giroud
his deputy and Eden Hazard an option through the middle if the Spaniard or
the Frenchman suffers an injury.
