Blues handed home tie in FA Cup
07 Jan 2019
Chelsea have been drawn to play either Sheffield Wednesday or Luton Town
at home in the FA Cup fourth round.
The draw for the next stage of the competition, which we won last season,
was made tonight, with Maurizio Sarri's side handed a home tie against
lower-league opposition.
Sheffield Wednesday and Luton drew 0-0 on Saturday. The replay is
scheduled for next Tuesday at Kenilworth Road. Sheffield Wednesday are
currently 16th in the Championship, Luton are second in League One. We
overcame both teams en route to reaching the final of the competition in
1994.
The Blues secured our place in the fourth round courtesy of a 2-0 win over
Nottingham Forest on Saturday, with Alvaro Morata scoring twice
in the second half.
