Blues handed away tie in FA Cup
06 Jan 2020
Chelsea have been handed an away tie against Hull City in the fourth round
of the FA Cup.
The Blues defeated Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge to book our place
in the fourth round, thanks to goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ross
Barkley, with our reward for that a trip to the KCOM Stadium in Yorkshire.
Grant McCann's side are currently ninth in the Championship and were
beaten finalists in 2014. Our last meeting with the Tigers was in the FA
Cup in 2018 when a brace from Willian alongside strikes from Pedro and
Olivier Giroud sealed a place in the quarter-finals. We went on to lift
the trophy that year, beating Manchester United in the final.
The game will be played over the weekend of January 25 and 26 with full
fixture details to be announced in due course.
The draw in full is:
Watford or Tranmere vs Wolves or Man United
Hull City vs Chelsea
Southampton vs Middlesbrough or Tottenham
QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday
Bournemouth vs Arsenal or Leeds United
Northampton Town vs Derby County
Brentford vs Leicester City
Millwall vs Sheffield United
Reading or Blackpool vs Cardiff or Carlisle
West Ham vs West Brom
Burnley vs Norwich
Bristol Rovers or Coventry vs Birmingham
Man City vs Fulham
Rochdale or Newcastle vs Oxford United
Portsmouth vs Barnsley
Bristol City or Shrewsbury vs Liverpool
