Christian Pulisic has left Chelsea after four years and completed a permanent tr
ansfer to AC Milan
The 24-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2019 having agreed t
o join the Blues from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the year. He made an early im
pact with an assist in the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool before announcing hi
mself on the Premier League stage against Burnley.
Pulisic scored a hat-trick at Turf Moor, becoming only the second American to ac
hieve that feat in the English top flight. He ended his debut campaign – which
was disrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic – in sparkling form and played a key
role in ensuring Chelsea finished in the Premier League top four.
He also netted in the FA Cup final against Arsenal and finished the season with
11 goals in all competitions.
Pulisic produced key moments during the run-in of Chelsea’s momentous 2020/21 s
eason. He scored in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madri
d and created a goal for Mason Mount in the second leg. They were vital steps en
route to our success in Porto.
The UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup were won in Pulisic’s third season,
and he also broke the record for the most Champions League goals scored by an Am
erican. The highlight of his final campaign came on the international stage as h
e guided the USMNT to the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup.
During his time at Chelsea, Pulisic played 145 games and scored 26 goals. He lea
ves with three winners’ medals.
We wish Christian well and thank him for all his contributions during his time a
t the club.
