'The Idol' will not renew for season 2 due to backlash over outrageous s*x
scenes and The Weeknd's "egomaniacal" behavior on set
知名娛樂八卦網站PageSix指出︰目前在HBO熱播的影集「偶像漩渦」(The Idol)，將
不會獲得第二季的續約，原因有2︰
1.劇中離譜性愛情節，造成的輿論反彈
2.本劇創作者暨男主角威肯(The Weeknd)在拍攝時，讓人感到有大頭症的舉動
According to @pagesix source 'The Idol' was "never meant to be a long-running
show" but a "limited series." They also noted that working with Abel "The
Weeknd" Tesfaye was "not an ideal experience... and not one [he is] eager to
repeat."
接受PageSix訪問的人指出︰偶像漩渦本來就不會定位成一部「長期運作」的節目，
而是一部「迷你影集」。他們也補充與本名Abel Tesfaye的威肯合作「並不是一次
愉快的經驗，他們不會想要再經歷一次。」
HBO is reportedly not shocked by fans' backlash:
"It’s a Sam Levinson show, and you know what you’re getting with a Sam
Levinson show."
不過，HBO內部的人對於觀眾的反彈並沒有感到意外︰這是Sam Levinson(也是台內
另一大尺度影集高校十八禁的製作人)的節目，你們早就知道看他製作的節目會得到
什麼元素了。
