ResidualVM, a project neighboring the ScummVM virtual machine, aims to
provide a free implementation of the GrimE engine through reverse
engineering. GrimE for Grim Edit is a game engine developed by LucasArts. He
is the descendant of SCUMM and is intended for 3D graphic adventure games. He
served in particular for Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island. Note
that ResidualVM also makes Myst III work. It uses the Lua open source
scripting language.
