Global city 這個名詞 創於1991 年
全球城市（英語：global city）又稱世界級城市或國際大都會，指在社會、經濟、文化
及政治層面直接影響全球事務的城市。近年，基於全球化（即全球金融、電訊和交通）的
擴張，全球城市漸漸為人熟悉。

地小人稠的 新加坡 與香港 排名第九與第五 這兩個城市都沒舉辦過大型的國際賽事
我還是認為最後一段 過去20年來 ....continued to grow as 我認為這個as 很重要
因為已經成為 an economic and cultural center of international importance.
用邏輯來推 若墨西哥城沒有舉辦國際賽事 他就不是global city 了嗎?
但他若在經濟與文化倒退回20年前的水準 他就很確定不是global city

唉呀，這題也才2分而已，放過自己吧XD

所以呢？話要說完阿，持續成長20年的象徵是什麼？高樓大廈就是最直接的象徵阿，要有足夠的錢、足夠的人力、足夠的資源才能蓋大樓，而且蓋大樓最怕的就是蓋到一半沒錢。所以，你要不要選A？你一直在看那個as，怎麼不看一下後面的which子句的led?

香港跟新加坡不能算反例 那種辦過大型國際賽事又不被認為是全球都市的才會是反例(如果你那行字是想反駁選項C的話啦...)

我不是考生， 我是想從錯誤中學習。 我寫台政師的考古題通常都錯在克漏字 跟生字 但我四年前考雅思 reading 接近滿分 這分數比我的實力高 所以我認為技巧還是有幫助從這題我學到的技巧是 has also 接的這一句 一定不會比前一句重要 所以選了C ， 則D 就不能排除 但又不是多選 所以 答案可能這兩個都不是。 至於高樓從來都不可能是選項因為 WHICH 子句 只是補充說明 可以完全不看。我不是拿香港新加坡當反例。 我是說墨西哥城若沒辦過賽事 就不能算global city 嗎? 當然不是 沒辦過 以他在美持續的成長 使他成為國際上重要的經濟與文化中心。若沒有這二十年的持續成長 墨西哥城會成為global city嗎因為考生拿題目問我C跟D 都不能排除 要選哪一個? 我才把疑問提出來討論。話說才兩分 但我說的B 選項會使問我的考生拿不到這兩分所以我不是為了這兩分在討論 你搞錯重點了

你似乎把D當作就是文章裡的(夠大的)人口規模和經濟文化重要性 我覺得這樣的連結很有問題

持續發展跟global city，是沒有邏輯正相關的。中國的深圳一直以來都在發展，但你會稱深圳是global city嗎？這問題問的是結果，並不是過程。當然每個global city都是長期發展才能成為global city，但並不表示持續發展就會成為global city你一直再看持續發展，你怎麼就不想想因為多次主辦國際活動，讓全世界看到這個城市，發現這個城市有投資的空間？
