所以還必需take care of their own business.
When Cincinnati pulled out the walk-off victory, the clubhouse briefly
erupted. Then it was back to work, knowing that they had an opportunity to
end the evening with a champagne celebration if they could take care of their
own business.
原po文:
Then it was back to work, knowing that they had an opportunity to end the
evening with a champagne celebration if they could take care of their own
business.

技術性上來說這是dangling participle(分詞(意思上)主詞不是主要子句的主詞),但是像原句子那樣的虛主詞it的寫法很普遍,"Practical English Usage"(by M. Swan)一書是說".... are common and often seem quite natural, particularly when the main clause has preparatory 'it' ... as a subject."

It was back to work, (they) knowing that...they被省略(嚴格來講有語病),逗點是必須的,因為後面是個子句(?) They went back to work(,) knowing that...
