Ahead of the release of her forthcoming project, Love and Compromise, UK-based R&B swooner Mahalia has tapped Ella Mai for a smooth new cut entitled “What You Did.” The track follows her previous single alongside Burna Boy, "Simmer." The new single is the fifth from Mahalia’s forthcoming debut studio album and relishes in lyrical wordplay that speaks on an unfaithful relationship and its emotional aftermath. Production-wise the track samples Cam’ron and Juelz Santana's 2002 hit “Oh Boy,” taking on
a soulfully-tinged sound that allows for both artists to billow their velvety vocals forward.
You can listen to "What You Did" via Spotify and Apple Music below. Mahalia's debut album, Love and Compromise, arrives on September 6 via Asylum Records UK.
