意思完全看得懂，但是請問一下為什麼是用forced而不是forces？
我查了一下網路字典上的例句，也通通都是用forced
強迫，迫使[O2]
The policemen forced the criminals to give up their arms. 警察迫使罪犯放下武器
。
用力推進；強行攻佔；強行打開[O]
We forced our way in. 我們擠了進去。
勉強作出（或發出）
She forced a smile. 她強作笑容。

我的看法 你舉的例子就只是過去式敘述發生過的事

原來如此，我想得太複雜了。因為我想說前面的causes用的是現在式為什麼可替換的forced卻是用過去式。
