剛剛跟社科畢新加坡妹仔聊完這個話題
雖然後面感覺都在抱怨李光耀
但還是提到對台灣看法

我們知道台灣阿(這句話聽起來有夠囂張但其實承接上文是她了解狀況的意思)
年輕人其實都滿羨慕台灣的民主
不過也承認獨裁就是可以卯起來賺
I dont know about other singaporean people,
but i admire taiwan's spirit, their relentless fight to become independent
it helps when you have a sea in between you and the mainland
(not so lucky for the Tibetans)
其他人怎麼想我不知道
但看台灣打死不棄守就是爽
雖然還不是要靠台灣海峽(西藏人哭哭)
anyway people in singapore also dont discuss politics openly
it is quite taboo topic
even more so than sex and religion
people are (still) scared of reprisals
總之新加坡都不太談政治這種禁忌話題的
大家都怕被自殺
西斯和宗教都還比較好開話題
i dont particularly like some things LKY did, but i appreciate his efforts
for our country
i think to be a successful leader, you need to do some unpopular policies,
which was what he did, so that was understandable
我是很感謝李對國家的影響
雖然有些政策我不喜歡
但我想為國家好有時候就是會有討人厭的政策吧
算是可以理解
im just a bit annoyed that people kept singing praises like he was the most
noble person that ever lived, which is totally biased and propagandist talk
只是把他當聖人說都不能說真的很煩
每天都有人在那裏政令宣導式的發言
I think it is hard for people outside Singapore to hear us criticising LKY,
it does sound like we are ungrateful. but we just have a different
perspective. Abit like how we are allowed to criticize our own parents, but
if someone else does it, you get offended. Same thing I guess
我想外國人應該很難理解我們也會想批評他
感覺好像很不知感激
人總會有不同觀點的阿
但這個情況就好像罵自己父母會被罵不肖子一樣
We are allowed to be critical of LKY, because we are directly affected..
Outsiders only see the good parts..
我們是直接受影響的人
是可以批評的吧
外國人(新加坡以外)都只看得到好的一面
i am more of a supporter for 'separatist' and independence ideas
my parents belong to the older generation, they believe in the one china
policy, so i dont know
林祖媽就是傾向台獨啦
但我爸媽那代都是比較支持一中的689吧我想
