A man has been killed by an escaped tiger from Tbilisi zoo after huge
flooding in the Georgian capital.

Officials say that the victim died at the scene after being attacked in a
warehouse.
官方表示,受害者在一處倉庫被老虎攻擊後當場死亡。
Initial reports stated the animal was a lion but it is now believed to have
been a white tiger.
據起先的報導,發起攻擊的動物為一頭獅子,然而現在被認為是一頭白老虎所為。
A local TV station said the animal jumped on his first victim as he entered a
warehouse where it was hiding

The attack happened near Laguna Vere, a open-air swimming pool, and Heroes'
Square, just down the road from Tbilisi Zoo.

Police arrived at the scene, but the lion was nowhere to be seen.

A SWAT team was mobilised and a search operation was immediately launched.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nino Giorgobiani, later
posted on Facebook that the tiger had been shot dead, and a video posted
online appeared to show the animal being carried away.

Yesterday the zoo announced that all the lions and tigers missing after
dozens of animals escaped from the zoo had been found dead, easing concerns
about the danger posed by wild animals.
動物園方在昨日宣布所有逃脫的動物包括老虎和獅子皆被發現死亡,此舉紓解了野生動物
逃脫所造成的危險和擔憂。
Staff said one jaguar remained unaccounted for but they held little hope of
it being alive.

The zoo has not made a statement following the man's death yet but announced
on its Facebook page that a press conference planned for 5pm today has been
cancelled.

Residents of Tbilisi had been advised to stay indoors while the dangerous
animals were prowling the streets.

Thirteen people had already been declared dead after floods ravaged the town
- but this is believed to be the first caused by one of the escaped animals.
