HTC表示辨識依據也並非靠指紋資料，而是「指紋下滑的特徵」，因此只要感應到一半的指
紋即可，約為指尖前1/2的部份。手機並不會保存使用者的指紋資料，而是「指紋下滑的特
徵」，這個特徵會經過運算，加密儲存在手機系統區中，一般App無法存取的地方。
如果說台灣記者愛豪洨,愛加油添醋,硬是把HTC沒講的話給掰出來,
那我們看看外媒,也是這個說法的原始來源:

HTC: The fingerprint data is stored in local memory. It is encrypted and stored
in the system partition, which can’t be readily accessed or copied. The
fingerprint data is not an actual image but fingerprint characteristics that
have been identified by a proprietary algorithm. No, HTC does not have access
to the information and the fingerprint cannot be used by a third party.
PhoneArena特地跑去訪問HTC,確認一些技術細節:
1.指紋不是存成一張圖片
2.指紋檔案有加密
3.這個檔案放在系統磁區,無法從外部讀取或複製
所以是HTC敢對PhoneArena這麼大的媒體說謊?
還是PhoneArena公然造謠?

HTC had a very similar thing to say, that the fingerprint data is stored in the
system partition and encrypted, cutting off access to HTC or any other third

若這個說法不正確,當初HTC也沒有任何澄清或更正,
就這樣放任全球媒體這樣到處講
過了整整快兩年,直到今天才被踢爆
