入夜後，中大的形勢持續緊張。為緩和目前形勢及希望以一個和平的方式解決問題，警方
已和校方作出溝通，現正安排撤退以停止對峙情況，警方呼籲示威者停止追擊。警方的人
群管理特別用途車輛在現場準備，有需要將協助警方後撤。
同時，中大內的示威者亦不要向吐露港公路和九鐵路軌投擲物品，因此舉會嚴重危害港鐵
乘客和道路使用者的安全。
Police Force’s statement on situation in Chinese University of HK

As the night fell, the situation remained tense in Chinese University of Hong
Kong. In pursuit of a peaceful solution to diffuse the situation, the Police
have communicated with the school and are arranging a retreat to stop the
standoff. The Police appeal to protestors to stop charging. A Specialised Crowd
Management Vehicle is on stand-by at the scene and will be deployed to assist
a retreat if necessary.
In the meantime, the protestors in CUHK are reminded to refrain from throwing
objects onto Tolo Highway and MTR track. Such acts seriously hamper the safety
of train system and threaten passengers’ safety.
