fight between the Champion AI and an Air Force F-16 pilot! The DARPA AlphaDogf
ight Trials aim to demonstrate the feasibility of developing effective, intell
igent autonomous agents capable of defeating adversary aircraft in a dogfight.
AlphaDogfight Trials Competition #3 is being broadcast live from the Johns Ho
pkins University Applied Physics Lab (JHU/APL) via a ZoomGov Webinar on 18-20
August 2020. DARPA’s AlphaDogfight Trials seeks to advance the state of artif
icial intelligence (AI) technologies applied to air combat operations.
The trials are a computer-based competition designed to demonstrate advanced A
I algorithms that can perform simulated within-visual-range air combat maneuve
ring, otherwise known as a dogfight. The goal is to use the dogfight as the ch
allenge problem to increase performance and trust in AI algorithms and bring t
ogether the AI research and operator communities.
簡單說，美國國防先進研發部 去年找了八家廠商，研發空戰A.I，計畫名字叫阿法狗戰(A
lphaDogFight)。
總共有三場賽事，前兩場是由A.I互戰，最後贏得A.I.在今天(8/20)跟美國空軍 飛行員比
五場模擬賽事，結果空軍飛行員輸了。
模擬賽中使用的機型是 F-16
