200 TWD Taxi For 40 Seconds Of Driving In Airport????
在機場搭40秒的計程車需要200台幣？？？
I had a layover in Taoyuan airport and then I took a taxi to go to the
departure hall area, which took around 40 seconds. Driver said it costs 200
TWD and showed the meter to me. I got really suspicious, but just gave him
200 TWD and left without saying anything. I asked my friends around and they
said I just got scammed. First time getting scammed in years. Welp...Lesson
learned again. Should have done some research to see if there was a different
taxi app that doesn't rip people off.

IIRC (if I remember correctly) the airport meter starts at 105. For your 40
seconds within the airports, I’m guessing from terminal to terminal, if it
is really from terminal to terminal it could mean a 2km drive around the
airport, which results in the meter ticking 3 times.
Also there is an extra line up fee 15% for airport taxis. So total may come
up to 105+5x3x1.15=122.25
You might have got scammed for TWD77.75
