板上一堆人說台灣根本沒什麼白人
但大家知道以前華人其實是被稱為白人的嗎？
義大利商人馬可波羅13世紀來中國的時候曾描述當地的人為白人
以下引述書中內容
“In “The Travels of Marco Polo,” the people of China are described as “white.” Records left by eighteenth century missionaries also report the skin color of Japanese and other East Asian people as clearly white.”

現在大家常聽到的黃種人其實是18世紀晚期歐洲日耳曼人因為種族歧視發明的詞
另外「白人」在歐美是個很有趣且複雜的詞
1950之前其實猶太人、愛爾蘭人都不被視為白人
白人優越主義的3K黨當時甚至是主打著反黑人跟反猶太人的
至今在美國所謂的White privilege 指的是WASP(White Anglo-Saxon Protestants)
所以說白人這個詞並不像台灣人以為字面上的意思
