寫了這ㄧ題發現不懂 five classic component
Google 了一下 知道 five classic component
是 input output memory datapath control
然後 datapath + control 是 CPU
看了英文敘述 還是不太懂 datapath 跟 control 是做什麼用的
附上我看到的敘述
Datapath:
The component of the processor that performs arithmetic operation
Control:
The component of the processor that commands the datapath, memory, and I/O
devices according to the instrutions of the program
麻煩知道大神幫我解惑一下

Data path你把他想成 例如你執行一個 add指令，你會用到哪些元件？ reg file啊 或者是ALU這些 完整的路徑 就是他的Datapath 每種指令的Datapath都不太一樣至於Control 你把他想成，因為很多時候在電腦管線內都是多對一 由一個多工器決定讓哪邊的資料通過，或者是 現在Mem單元 sw在執行，那mem write這根信號線就要設成1才可以寫入，control單元就是在做這種事情，控制各個多工器，或者給各個主要單元設定0/1 類似控制權限的感覺

就是計組第四章畫的那些！

datapath是管線的身體 control unit是大腦所以flush指令就是大腦空掉了 control全部設0 (by張凡)像你原文寫的 datapath做運算 control告訴它該做什麼運算
