Thousands of mostly young protesters surrounded Taiwan’s legislature late
into the night on Tuesday, protesting a push by opposition parties to subject
the island’s new leader and his administration to tighter scrutiny from a
parliament controlled by lawmakers who favor closer ties to China.

這篇開頭是在講521立法院外集會抗議在野黨強勢推動立法的事情，
文末還強調在野黨的傾中國立場，很奇怪，因為台灣政論似乎沒有很強調這一點。
其中"protesting a push"的 push 當名詞，是指推動立法的這個行為嗎？
還有"to subject the island's new leader and hist administration to tighter
scrutiny.." 當中的 subjetc 當動詞比較少見，是使對方服從、納入管制的意思。
而 scrutiny 則是審查、監督的意思。
