Thanks for contacting Massdrop Support! We are sorry that your headphones
arrived in that condition and we would be happy to assist you!
Based on new information that has become available, we have reason to believe
that our remaining inventory might also be affected with some of the QC
issues (specifically, the bubble wrap markings). Because of this, we are
currently holding off on shipping replacement units until after we have
completed a thorough inspection of the available units.
To resolve your issue, we can offer the following options:
You can wait until we are able to send replacements and exchange your unit
for a new one. You will be able to keep your unit until you receive the
replacement.
You can return your unit for a refund.
We can send replacement ear cups and you could swap them with the damaged
ones. (Like option 1, this option would also depend on the status of our
remaining inventory, so it might take a little while to sort.)
Please let me know how you would like to proceed. Also, are you able to
provide me with the serial number of your unit? We are collecting serial
numbers of affected units and sending the information to the manufacturer.
As for methods on how to clean it off, we do not have a suggestion at the
moment as everything we have tried does not work.
