Past Simple Tense
大家都知道用Ved或was/were來表現
沒有任何同學不懂得使用這個時態的
但是如此平凡的時態為什麼能在雅思口語有 + 0.5 的效果呢？
I am Erickson,enthusiastic about giving support to those in need.
要特別強調的是：
不會因為「一次使用」而+0.5
還要搭配整體能力的展現
與其說道理不如來一小段實例：
PART 1 How good is the bus service where you live?
ANSWER
Oh, No! Some impolite drivers chewing gum and some exceeding
the speed limit have created a negative impression
on both tourists and local people. Besides, the bus company
just cancelled the discount fare and I am not happy with this.
Since I have pinpointed the problems about the bus service,
it is time that City Council took appropriate action
to improve it.
留意一下：即使7分程度的同學在口語一樣會有文法錯誤
重點在最後一句：...的時候了
that 子句用過去簡單式（或should＋原形動詞）
是一種假設法
不管同學的程度落在哪裡
能在正確時機運用假設法
就有機會勝過很多不懂用時態來拿分的同學
方法非常簡單可是效果卻在不錯以上（我認為是非常好）
在這裡推薦給大家：
It is (high) time that S + Ved 或 S + should + V.
that可以省略
不習慣 It is time 接續過去簡單式嗎？
有另一種用法同學應該能無縫接軌
前面的例子最後一句可以改成：
City Council could have done something to make a difference.
其中could have + p.p.表示在過去有能力或有機會做，然而卻沒有做
