Lakers hope Larry Nance Jr. is answer at small forward
There, he has thrown down multiple jaw-dropping dunks. He has made endless
energy plays. He has forged a dependable role on the Lakers’ roster.
“My tendency when I don’t have the ball is to go to the rim,” Nance said.
“That’s where I’m supposed to be.”
Not anymore.
Lakers coach Byron Scott admitted he expects Nance “to struggle” with
mentally changing how he approaches the game.
Nance had never played the position. He also has attempted only nine
3-pointers all season and has made only one.
