A lot of surgeons wear Crocs because they're on their feet all day and
they're (supposed to be) comfortable (also water-proof/easy to wash, for
blood/urine/other bodily fluids. Surgery can be messy). They might wear
booties over top, but they're also not sticking their feet in your body, so
it's not a big deal

EDIT: I (and many others) have addressed this in subsequent comments, but
because it keeps coming up; the Crocs worn in the OR typically do not contain
holes. I suspect Riot modeled the Croc with holes because it is the most
iconic Croc design, and they wanted the shoes to be recognizable moreso than
100% accurate.

Crocs with holes arent actually allowed in the OR. Because if a hypo or blade
or something else sharp and possibly contaminated with AIDS or another
infectious disease falls into the hole. You're fucked.

There's no mention of how or when the sword appears? Does the Q spawn it?
Does it follow him around like Orianna ball?

Yeah I can't believe there's literally no explanation of the sword, other
than it will come to you when you press Q. So it seems like it just sits
around otherwise, which means you'll have to walk up to somewhere and press Q
just to get it there, then go back to CSing or whatever. Sounds kind of
annoying tbh. There's gotta be some kind of range on it like Orianna ball
though.
edit: Just saw this comment on the article
His Q will call the blade to him, other than that it's stationary on a line.
If you go past that range the Spirit Sword will be dragged behind Shen.

To clarify Spirit Blade idle behavior:
Spawns next to you at game start and respawn
Despawns on death
Snaps to your position when using any global teleport (Shen ult, recall, Tahm
ult, etc.)
Snaps towards you (but still pretty far away) if you move very far from it
(talking off-screen distances here
