The start of the 2018 EU LCS is edging closer and the Fnatic LoL Team is
ready!
We’re thrilled to be giving our management team an injection of experience
ahead of the new season, refreshing our backroom staff while also building on
foundations laid in 2017.
Joey ‘YoungBuck’ Steltenpool is a globally renowned champion; an individual
boasting trophies in four consecutive EU LCS splits as well as some of the
highest calibre international experience in the world. Today we’re proud to
add YoungBuck to our new look staff where he’ll take the reigns as our LoL
division’s Team Director!
'I am elated to announce that I will be the Team Director for Fnatic the
upcoming two seasons.
Within this role I am looking to manage the League of Legends staff, bring a
new vision, direction, and establish a healthy team culture with which I aim
to bring Fnatic back to being the best team in the West.' - Joey ‘YoungBuck’

The opportunity to work with the Dutchman is definitely not to be taken
lightly. A former pro player himself having started his career all the way
back in Season 2, YoungBuck will lead and oversee our entire LoL operation
from our Berlin Office while, at the same time, playing an active and
significant role in our coaching team.
Joining him as our Head Coach is none other than Dylan Falco! Dylan enjoyed
an excellent Summer Split and oversaw one of the most exciting (nerve
wracking, nail biting and blood pumping) Worlds campaigns we have ever seen.
To see him back on stage with the roster in 2018 is something we can’t wait
for!
Even after definitely shaving years off of every Fnatic fan’s lifespan with
THAT comeback, we’re super proud of what he managed to achieve with the
roster last year. The opportunity to continue working together was something
we were delighted to take up and we’re pleased to see Dylan continue in this
role.
‘After working with Fnatic for the 2017 Summer Split and World Championship,
I'm excited to continue into the 2018 season. This season Fnatic has put
extra effort into creating a truly comprehensive coaching and management
staff, fitting for a team with high aspirations. Working with Joey, and
Michael has already been a great experience and I can't wait to see what we
accomplish in 2018.’ - Dylan Falco (Head Coach)

Also returning to the fold is former Fnatic Academy Manager, Michael ‘Garki’
Bolze. Having spent the Summer Split with European rivals, Vitality, the
young German rejoins our LoL side as our new Team Manager, the youngest of
any EU LCS team!
‘I am super happy to be back with Fnatic! Also, I’m very excited to be
working with Joey and Dylan. Both are very experienced and very fun people to
have around. I believe our coaching/management staff, in addition to our
roster, is really stacked this year and we are confident that Fnatic will
take back the throne in Europe. A special thanks at this point to Finlay and
Patrik who made this possible for me. #AlwaysFnatic’ - Michael ‘Garki’
Bolze (Team Manager)
These are big shoes to fill following our long time Team Director and fan
favourite Finlay ‘Quaye’ Stewart decision after Worlds not to make the
return to Berlin. Garki, though, has a tremendous amount of experience for
his young years and we’re fully confident in his abilities to take the team
forward!
The final addition to the team is Jack ‘Kayys’ Kayser who takes up the
position as Head Analyst. He’ll work remotely, feeding back regularly to the
team and aiding them as much as possible in their match day preparations.
‘Previously working with Fnatic for 2017 Worlds, and knowing the history of
the organization, I'm excited for the 2018 season. I look forward to creating
the statistical and analytical framework that the team and staff can use for
this season and beyond.’ - Jack ‘Kayys’ Kayser (Head Analyst)
Our LoL management team in full:
Team Director: Joey ‘YoungBuck’ Steltenpool
Team Manager: Michael ‘Garki’ Bolze
Head Coach: Dylan ‘DylanFalco’ Falco
Head Analyst: Jack ‘Kayys’ Kayser
We couldn’t be happier with our team setup for the coming Split and hope all
of our fans will be as excited as we are to get started!
