Sabean: Giants won't re-sign Carlos Beltran
Giants general manager Brian Sabean said the team will not re-sign free agent
outfielders Carlos Beltran or Cody Ross.
Sabean said that no offer was ever made to either player and that talks never
went past the general stage. We figured once they traded for both Melky
Cabrera and Angel Pagan that signing another outfielder was a longshot, as
they still have to find room for Aubrey Huff, Brandon Belt and Nate
Schierholtz.
