The Nats want Strasburg to pitch 200 innings
Back in December Davey Johnson said that there would be “no limits” on
Strasburg. That’s not exactly true, though. Via USA Today:
“To say there’s no restrictions really means, ‘Hey, we’d like him to
pitch 200 innings,’ ” Boone said. “But, you’re not gonna say no
restrictions like you might have on Steve Carlton, who would throw 320
innings. You’re not gonna do that. There’s always restrictions, but the
meaning is, ‘We’re not gonna shut him down after 160 innings.’ “
Mostly they’re talking pitch counts, which everyone does, basically.
As far as innings go, 31 pitchers threw 200 innings in 2012. Only five threw
more than 220. Strasburg, who will be three years removed from Tommy John
surgery come playoff time, should certainly be expected to handle the regular
workload of a number one starter now.
But really, I don’t think anyone cares how many innings Strasburg has as
long as he is available for the playoffs which, as we sit in here in January,
Washington should fully expect to be in their future.

還是會有限制啦 但原則上會讓小史投破200IP沒問題
去年全聯盟有31個破200IP 超過220IP的只有五位 小史今年有機會變其中一個嗎?
