Tigers optioned RHP Bruce Rondon to Triple-A Toledo.
Rondon was given every opportunity to claim the Tigers' ninth-inning job this
spring, but he wound up allowing 17 hits and nine walks in 12 1/3 Grapefruit
League frames. The hard-throwing 22-year-old should climb his way to Detroit
at some point in 2013. Detroit will employ a closer-by-committee in the early
going. Joaquin Benoit is probably the guy to own in fantasy leagues. Mar 28 -
