The Tigers have scheduled a press conference for 11:30am ET today, and Ken
Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that manager Jim Leyland will announce his
resignation from the team's managerial position. According to Rosenthal, the
68-year-old Leyland informed the team of his decision following the ALCS,
stating that it was time for someone younger to manage the team (Twitter
