他的自我介紹 在南加大讀書的時候專業學攝影的
While attending USC in Los Angeles for three years on a baseball scholarship, I majored in photojournalism. At the same time, I got hands-on experience in the art and craft of photography, shooting for the “Daily Trojan”, our college newspaper, and a small rock n’ roll magazine in Los Angeles.
While pitching baseballs became my occupation for over two decades, photography remained my great passion. I took advantage of the travel required for baseball to shoot all kinds of places, people, concerts, events and anything else that caught my eye. After retiring from 22 years in the major leagues, my photojournalist job no longer had to take a back seat.
Beginning with my first summer vacation in 26 years in 2010, I shot motorsports, concerts, people and places. I was privileged to take three USO trips, one to Iraq and Kuwait, another to Okinawa and the most recent to Italy, Afghanistan and Germany (God Bless Our Troops!). I’ve also been a contributing photographer for major media outlets with many photos featured in Spin Magazine, Metal Hammer Magazine, Score Baseball Card Company and AOL Online.
Not only has photography allowed me to explore the world through my camera eye, it has allowed me to give back to charities and causes that are very close to me, homelessness being one of them. As much as I enjoyed the thrill of pitching a perfect game and winning a World Series, I get similar satisfaction from using my photography skills to help others.
The ride has been great, but is far from done. I look forward to seeing places I’ve never visited and shooting things I’ve never seen.
