Red Sox claimed 3B Juan Francisco off waivers from the Blue Jays.
He could be non-tendered if the Red Sox are able to reel in Pablo Sandoval.
As it stands right now, though, Francisco is an option at third base along
with Will Middlebrooks. Francisco belted 16 homers in just 320 at-bats for
the Jays this season but hit only .220/.291/.456 overall. MLBTradeRumors.com
projects him to make $2.2 million in his second year of arbitration.
