Red Sox starter David Price extended a long history of postseason struggles
in Game 2 of the ALDS on Saturday, when he couldn’t escape the second inning
in the Yankees’ series-evening 6-2 win. So when the embattled lefty’s name
was called during player introductions before Game 3 of the series at Yankee
Stadium on Monday, the Bronx crowd greeted Price with a warm ovation and
chants of “M-V-P.”
紅襪先發投手David Price繼續延續他在季後賽表現不良的紀錄，星期六ALDS的第二戰，第
二局沒投完就下場，最終洋基6-2獲勝。所以，當美國星期一在洋基球場Game 3，他的名字

With Rick Porcello scheduled to start Game 4 on Tuesday and Chris Sale likely
to pitch Game 5 back in Boston if it’s necessary, Price’s best shot at
redeeming himself in this series will be coming out of the bullpen.

Price, a very good pitcher with a decade’s worth of big-league experience,
went 16-7 with a strong 3.58 ERA in the 2018 regular season. On a Boston-area
sports-talk radio show this author happened to catch while driving back to
New York on Sunday, hosts argued that the Red Sox should eat the remainder of
Price’s seven-year, $217-million contract and send him packing this
offseason.
Price是個非常好的投手，有著10幾年的MLB經驗，本季16-7，ERA3.58。波士頓當地電台主
