For the first time in league history, Major League Baseball jerseys will
feature advertisements beginning this season.

The advertisements will appear via patches on jerseys and decals on batting
helmets.

The MLS introduced them in 2007 and the NBA followed suit in 2017. The NHL
has approved them for the 2022-23 season.
