Manchester United player ratings: Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay good vs
Liverpool
Man United are still top of the Premier League after drawing at Liverpool and
here are how the players rated at Anfield.
David de Gea - 6
A bystander in the first-half but was alert to save from Thiago Alcantara in
the second.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 6
Refused to cross in the first minute and it set the tone for an unadventurous
performance. Dealt well with Sadio Mane, though.
Victor Lindelof - 7 (太高了吧
An undeserving starter, Lindelof was carelessly caught out of position a number
of times but reprieved by a teammate. Much better after the pause.
Harry Maguire - 7
Covered for Lindelof on occasion and won the majority of his duels. No
conviction in bringing the ball forward.
Luke Shaw - 8
Continued his fine season at both ends, dealing with Mohamed Salah and creating
United's best chance for Bruno Fernandes.
Scott McTominay - 7
Missed at Anfield last season, McTominay shielded the back four with measured
aggression and barely put a foot wrong.
Fred - 6
Pressed better than some of the forwards but seldom left McTominay on his tod.
More reticent in the second-half.
Marcus Rashford - 4
Moved back to the centre forward's role and did not justify it. Seemed to
either be offside or cede possession and rarely threatened from the flank.
Bruno Fernandes - 4 (太太太可惜了
The worst when it came to wasting the ball and Fernandes was even berated by
Mike Phelan. Went close with a free-kick and denied from United's best chance.
Paul Pogba - 6 (差點
An unusual choice on the right-hand side but performed respectably. Was never
going to boss the game in that role but almost won it.
Anthony Martial - 4
Lucky to start, never mind on the left. One virtuoso run aside, he made Trent
Alexander-Arnold look better defensively than he is.
Subs
Edinson Cavani - 6 (應該先發的
Upgrade on Martial.
Mason Greenwood - N/A
Too late to mark.
Manager
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 6
Was not vindicated in starting Martial ahead of Cavani and Pogba on the right
was an unsuccessful experiment.
