Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka good vs Leeds
Man United drew against Leeds United in a tepid Premier League encounter and
here are how the players rated at Elland Road.
Dean Henderson - 6
Had routine efforts to handle in the sun. A much calmer performance than his
erratic afternoon against Burnley last week.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 8
A confident performance against Jack Harrison and created a good chance for
Bruno Fernandes. Impressive, all-round performance.
Victor Lindelof - 7
Had an edgy moment with an errant pass in the first-half but otherwise secure
and dealt with Patrick Bamford well.
Harry Maguire - 7
Used the ball well further forward when he joined in attacks and marshalled the
defence well. Booked and lost his temper with Fred.
Luke Shaw - 7
A driving force down the left and almost always supported Marcus Rashford.
Maybe fortunate not to be penalised for handball inside his own area.
Scott McTominay - 6
Disciplined, if not daring. McTominay struck twice against Leeds in December
but was not as adventurous at Elland Road.
Fred - 6
Pressed eagerly in Solskjaer's trusted triangle but had little influence until
he played Mason Greenwood in with a perceptive pass.
Mason Greenwood - 5
Started through the middle a week after his manager said he was not ready for
the centre forward role. Did not look ready.
Bruno Fernandes - 5
The removal of Pogba, United's best attacker this calendar year, was undermined
by the inclusion of Fernandes, subdued again. Shanked a shot.
Daniel James - 5
Did not vindicate his recall. Was treated roughly by Leeds players but
decision-making on the ball was poor when United looked threatening.
Marcus Rashford - 6
Tormented Luke Ayling and tested Illan Meslier with a dipping free-kick in a
bright first-half. Could not carry the passengers in the second.
Subs
Paul Pogba - 6
Had a half-chance he failed to control.
Edinson Cavani - 5
Came on too late.
Donny van de Beek - N/A
Cameo appearance.
Manager - 5
James' recall was not vindicated and the arrival of Pogba was peculiarly late.
Removing Pogba from the XI was illogical.
