In the last college term just finished, two of the courses I chose were
Politic-Economics and Sci-fi History.
For Political-Economics my team did Venezuela for our group report. And
in Sci-fi History we learnt about Cyberpunk literatures.
Then, few days ago, I was browsing Steam and decided to play VA-11 Hall-A
which I've been always interested in but nontheless didn't put my hands
on it until now.
I know it's set in a Cyberpunk world from its style, but turns out it's also
a game from Venezuela developers. The world really is small and amazing.
Inflation, chaos in their society... All of those happening in Venezuela also
have been 'reflected' into the game's story. Truth be told, I didn't notice
about these connections when I was playing it.
This is one crucial point of creations. VA-11 Hall-A isn't a story set in
Venezuela. It's set in some futuristic and virtual city 50 years later, but
it is indeed about Venezuela. Because of the creators with these backgrounds
in their mind during the process of making, these aspects, either consciously
or not, taken from their life experiences affected the creation too.
I like fap.
