認為當前的中國民用滾裝船即便只是提供很單純的後勤支援
而且是在沒有敵人的平靜內海
遲緩的運量和裝載速度（耗了整個月）對跨海戰爭後勤是沒什麼幫助的
另外分析了2021年的另一場渤海軍演
這裡民用滾裝船直接用於支援解放軍的兩棲登陸作戰
作為後備的兩棲登陸艦 躲在軍船後面 在離岸五浬處卸載武裝小艇 然後儘速撤離
然而這場模擬登島演練卻沒有任何假想敵
軍艦也沒有模擬出任何護衛行動
作者認為看不出民船的實際作戰效用
從兩場（後勤/作戰）演練的成效綜合起來
雖然中國的民船軍用船多潛力大
但目前實踐上還是處在效率低下、極度不成熟的狀態（這還是少數多次配合軍方的民船）
用來侵台的風險極高 會有極高的傷亡
不過作者也提到中國方可能不怎麼在意效率問題 主打以量取勝
