Chicago Bulls Rumors: Joakim Noah Out For Season, Blessing In Disguise?

With the rumors swirling regarding Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah
possibly missing the rest of the season, most fans are trying to search
for some kind of silver lining.
The Bulls likely would not have made it past the Miami Heat in the playoffs
anyway, but they at least had hope with a healthy Noah going into
the postseason.
When looking at the big picture, could this injury be a blessing in disguise?

Think about it for second. The Bulls’ three best players are all injured,
two being sidelined at the moment. Derrick Rose is continuing his rehab coming back
from an ACL tear.
Noah is trying to get past his plantar fasciitis issues.
Not to mention, Luol Deng has played almost two years
with a torn ligament in his wrist now.
With the playoff hopes looking bleak for the Bulls, this could be a chance for
all three of their top players to get healthy. It is hard to remember the last time
the Bulls had a completely healthy roster. It was probably three years ago
before Deng tore the ligament in his wrist.
With Noah and Rose being very young still, this Bulls team has time.
Deng still has quite a few solid years left in him as well.
Make no mistake about it, a healthy Bulls team is competing for a title. Period.
But with the state of the roster at this point, they may want to consider
giving their injured guys all the time in the world to heal up for next year.
They’re also dealing with an injured Taj Gibson, Kirk Hinrich, and Rip Hamilton.
Marco Belinelli is also in the midst of coming back to full health.
This type of roster will not compete for a championship in 2012-2013.
The best interest of the team may be to get their significant players healthy
in hopes to make a run at a ring in 2013-2014. The blessing here is
the opportunity for the Bulls to regain full health.
Next season, look for this healthy team to make some
serious noise if all important pieces are in place.
