Akron市長責怪騎士老闆：當初應多花錢留住詹姆斯

常開心，自然也讓克里夫蘭球迷的傷更加痛。 詹姆斯家鄉Akron市的市長就表示，當
年騎士老闆應該花更多的錢留住詹姆斯。
詹姆斯率隊再度奪冠，成功衛冕，可謂走上了聯盟之巔，而他的家鄉——Akron市的市
長，Don Plusquellic也表示，當年騎士老闆Dan Gilbert 應該花更多的錢留住詹姆斯
，這樣就可以為克里夫蘭帶來一個總冠軍。
"Dan Gilbert can be mad at me if he wants to be, but I wish Dan Gilbert would
have spent some of his money and gone out and bought a couple of all-stars
and then said to LeBron, 'Hey, I'm giving you a team that you can win a
championship here.' Instead, everybody waited, held their cards close to the
vest and said, 'OK, LeBron please sign.'"
“Dan Gilbert可以生我的氣，如果他想要這麼做的話，但是我還是希望當年Gilbert
能花一點錢，去買幾個全明星，然後對詹姆斯說'嘿，勒布朗，我給了你一個團隊，你
可以在這里奪取總冠軍'，” Plusquellic說，“那樣的話，人們就會舉著球星卡，穿
著T卹來這裡請詹姆斯簽名了。”
不過Plusquellic也承認，現在說什麼也改變不了詹姆斯的決定了，但他現在會鼓勵
Gilbert花更多的錢在騎士身上。畢竟，騎士的未來也很光明。
"I think he had more than enough (money) before we gave him all the gambling
interest in northeast Ohio, so I think right now, he has more than enough
money to be able to do something to bring a championship back to Cleveland,"
Plusquellic said.

"I'm LeBron James, from Akron, Ohio, from the inner-city. I'm not even

about me off the court, don't matter. I ain't got no worries," James said as
confetti fell around him.
詹姆斯對此肯定也是心有戚戚的，他在奪冠後還榮膺總決賽MVP，他在發言時提到了自

不管是愛他還是恨他，在熱火衛冕後，這種感情都會更加強烈。不過在Akron區域，詹
姆斯還是更受愛戴，至少比在克里夫蘭受愛戴。 人們也期望他能在合約結束後回到克
里夫蘭。
"I know a lot of people are still harboring those harsh feelings. Me
personally, I think if he comes back, he was kind of true to his word at that
point. No harm, no foul then," said Logan Mirka, 18, of Wadsworth.
“我知道很多人心裡還是有這樣的感覺，就我個人而言，我覺得如果他回來的話，他
還是很真實的一個人。這沒什麼，沒有傷害。”18歲的Logan Mirka說。

"LeBron is an alumni of this school, and basically, he's a true, honorable
citizen of the city of Akron... He has always helped everybody around Akron,
helping kids in need and school programs. He's very, very active in this
community," Ochsenhirt said.
