Mitch Kupchak has his eye on Andrew Wiggins.
Literally.
The general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers was in the building today to
witness the Kansas Jayhawks’ overtime win against the Oklahoma State
Cowboys in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
Wiggins, who is projected to be a top-three draft pick in June, went off
for 30 points against Marcus Smart’s Cowboys. This comes after Wiggins
dropped 41 points against West Virginia over the weekend.
The Lakers are currently projected to have the sixth overall selection in
June, though they could easily end with the fourth-worst record by the end
of the season and would then have a chance to move up into the top-three on
May 20 thanks to the NBA’s lottery system.
