Rockets were torn over decision, source said, but ultimately decided they
would not be a championship team and would have no room to build.
The decision largely came down to whether the Rockets were good enough with a
big three of Harden, Howard and Parsons.
Keeping flexibility to build was by far biggest factor in Rockets decision,
but they also believed they needed Ariza's defense.
Still, if Rockets had landed Bosh, they absolutely would have kept Parsons,
believing they would not have had to worry about building.
Painful as it had to have been, was logic in Hou decision not to match. But
to think, 3 days ago, they thought they'd have Bosh and Parsons.
Those wishing to move hopes to next free agent on Rockets wish list would be
better off looking to 2015 than 'big' names left this summer.
