The Celtics have acquired Will Bynum (hamstring) in exchange for Joel Anthony
in a trade on Friday.
He was going to compete with D.J. Augustin for the backup point guard, but
with rookie Spencer Dinwiddie already getting some 5-on-5 reps in, the
Pistons aren't going to need Bynum nearly as much. He's likely just going to
provide depth for the Celtics as a backup. Of course, the Celtics may end up
waiving him and save $900K to get under the tax line this season.
