3. Jeremy Lin, Los Angeles Lakers
When the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Jeremy Lin from the Houston Rockets this
past offseason, they thought they were going to get a playmaking point guard
that could help shoulder the scoring load. Lin hasn’t played a terrible
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
season to this point, but he hasn’t been the aggressive player that made him

successful with the New York Knicks and Rockets.
Through the Lakers’ first 11 games this season, Lin has averaged 12.0
points, 4.9 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. Those numbers simply haven’t
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
made the type of impact that the Lakers need from him. He’ll continue to get
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
more comfortable in his new role and play better, but they need him to pick
his game up sooner rather than later.
There is no denying that Lin can succeed with the Lakers and the way that
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
they run their offense especially. He is very good at getting to the rim and
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
finishing and he can knock down the three-point shot as well. Los Angeles
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
needs to figure out how to get him going, and until then they will continue
struggling at the point guard position with production.
