Rip Hamilton: Pistons should have won '3 or 4' titles

Richard (Rip) Hamilton accomplished plenty in his playing days. And he
officially retired Thursday, after 14 NBA seasons.
綽號"RIP"的Richard Hamilton日前宣布退役，結束了他征戰14年的NBA生涯。
"I think it's my time,'' Hamilton told the Free Press. "Everybody wants to
play forever. I wish I could play until I'm 50 years old, but that's not the
case. You can't beat Father Time. Father Time catches up with all of us.''
RIP表示：「我覺得時候到了，每個人都想一直打下去，我也希望我能打到50歲。
但事實是，你無法擊敗時間，時間會追上所有人。」
The Pistons' 2004 championship season is remembered as a true team effort.
Ben Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, Hamilton, Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace
weren't considered superstars but were great players who stayed within their
roles under coach Larry Brown.

Prince, who was traded back to the Pistons last week, said he recently had
lunch with Hamilton and called him the best midrange shooter of his era.

Like most of his former teammates, Hamilton thought that the Pistons left a
couple of championships on the table, especially in 2005, against the San
Antonio Spurs. Detroit made six straight Eastern Conference finals during
Hamilton's stay.

"I think we should have won three or four,'' Hamilton said. "It just didn't
happen. It was one of those things. To get one was great, but I thought we
left a couple on the table."
