Popovich responded to those statements by saying,
“I think it’s just a case of an anonymous suit
trying to gain 15 minutes of stardom more than anything.
It’s comical…A lot of people trying to get famous on Twitter.
And I guess this particular suit is one of them.”
Asked if he would be tweeting anytime soon, Popovich joked,
“If I tweet, (it would be) blankety, blank, blank, blank.”

對於裁判協會抗議聯盟未禁賽老鷹總教練 Mike Budenholzer 一事，
馬刺總教練 Gregg Popovich 在接受採訪時，表達了自己對於此事的厭惡。
裁判協會在一份聲明中表示：
「與過去的做法不同的是，
聯盟這次僅僅對 Mike Budenholzer 罰款，而不是對之實施禁賽。」
裁判協會總顧問 Lee Seham 亦在一份聲明中表示：
「裁判需要在一個合適環境下進行執法。
而現狀是，任何一個有影響力的 NBA 球隊老闆都可以操作處罰的有效性，
這也縱容了某些錯誤行為。
教練們應該集中精力在如何打造一支更好的球隊上，而不是在身體動作上恐嚇裁判。」
對此，Gregg Popovich 表示：
「我認為，這只不過是一群穿著制服的匿名傢伙，
試圖博得15分鐘的明星身份罷了，這很滑稽可笑。
就像許多人都試圖在 Twitter 上博取知名度一樣，
