Timofey Mozgov could be making his way back to the Big Apple.

Ian Begley of ESPN reports that the New York Knicks are not only interested
in signing Mozgov, but the organization is "high" on him. The Knicks' first
option is obviously signing free agent Joakim Noah, but Mozgov represents an
alternative option in case Noah doesn't sign with New York.

would provide mobile rim protection and rebounding."

For those that don't remember, the 7-foot-1 center played for the Knicks
during the 2010-11 season, appearing in 34 games and making 14 starts while
averaging 4.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game before being traded to the
Denver Nuggets in the Carmelo Anthony deal.

With Mozgov's stock declining this year due to falling out of the starting
lineup, New York could likely sign Mozgov on a bargain deal. As Begley notes,

offensive touches to be an effective center.
